I AM A TENANT Checklist

  • Negotiate & Agree on price
  • I have been granted a tenancy agreement by the Owner, I need to check that the

  • Verify all passport(s)/pass(es) shown and make sure they have at least a 6 months’ validity period. Please remember to retain photocopies for future references.

  • Inform HDB within 7 days from subletting date (Applicable to subletting of Bedroom(s) only)

I AM A SELLER Checklist

  • Eligibility to sell, I have fulfill

  • Negotiate & Agree on price
  • Submit HDB Resale Checklist (Online only) at least 7 days before granting an OTP
  • I grant Buyer an OTP & I receive Option Fee from the Buyer (S$1 to S$1000 max)
  • Facilitate HDB valuation inspection
  • Buyer exercise OTP within 21 Days & I receive balance Option Fee (S$5000 max – 1st part of Option Fee received when I grant Buyer the OTP)
  • Inventory List (if any) to be signed by both the Seller and the Buyer
  • Submit Resale Application
  • Inspection by HDB Branch Officer
  • Attend HDB 1st Appointment on a day mutually agreed by the Buyer & me
    • Verify your eligibility
    • HDB OIC to explain resale procedure to Me
    • Conveyancing
    • Arrange Completion Date (usually within 8 weeks from 1st Appointment)
  • Rectify unauthorised renovation work (if any)
  • Inform HDB Branch to confirm rectification (if any)
  • Terminate GIRO payments pertaining to flat (if any)
  • Pay Service & Conservancy charges paid to-date
  • Upgrading Cost (if any), I have to pay if HDB billing date is before completion date
  • Buyer inspection of my flat
  • Attend HDB 2nd Appointment
    • Handover of keys
    • Signing of Transfer documents
    • Signing Mortgage documents of taking up HDB loan
    • Produce Official receipts of Service & Conservancy charges paid to-date
    • Produce Official statement of Property Tax paid for the whole year
    • Receive cheque for net sale proceeds (if any)
  • CPF monies refund into CPF account

  • Exercise OTP within 21 Days & I pay balance Option Fee (S$5000 max – 1st part of Option Fee paid when Seller grant me the OTP)
  • Inventory List (if any) to be signed by both Seller and Buyer
  • Upgrading Cost (if any), I have to pay if HDB billing date is after completion date
  • Submit Resale Application
  • Attend HDB 1st Appointment on a day mutually agreed by Seller & I
    • Verify your eligibility
    • HDB OIC to explain resale procedure to Me
    • Conveyancing
      • Joint tenancy

    • Arrange Completion Date (usually within 8 weeks from 1st Appointment)

    • Buy fire insurance from ETIQA Insurance Berhad, if taking up HDB loan
  • Inspect the flat to ensure it is acceptable and vacant before taking possession
  • Attend HDB 2nd Appointment

    • Signing Mortgage documents of taking up HDB loan
    • Official receipts of Service & Conservancy charges paid to-date by Seller
